Equipment for a Home Bakery
Mary Ntembenuzeni grew up helping her mother bake traditional oil cakes they sold on the roadside. The business kept her family afloat, but just barely. When it came time for Mary to begin earning a living, she knew she had to think bigger. Using her first FINCA loan, Mary purchased an oven and began selling bread, buns, and mini scones. As demand for Mary’s delicious baked good grew, she seized the opportunity and used a second FINCA loan to purchase three more ovens.
Today, Mary is producing baked good for two shops she owns, as well as several grocery stories and local schools.
